What purpose does the level do, beside having a level cut?
I've never seen one before on a chainsaw.

Helps to see if your chain saw is level ( the bar is not tilted up, or down too much), saves the guess work, if you are doing a lot of felling, like he is on this job. If I had to fell some odd 20,000 trees, like that job, I would want to do something as well, to help me out a bit. Bruce.
