I'm not sure how long it will be before you get to your goal, but if I may suggest one thing, go full on with the truck. What I mean is try to get a bigger truck. I made the decission to go with a used tree truck and I have not been sorry. The reasons I did it were more storage, higher GVW, stronger axles and brakes, diesel tourque and many others I can not think of right now. When towing something like a BC1000 you need to consider the overall weight of the package. With a small truck you'll go through brakes, tires and axles like crazy. I know this from others around me. I have seen it over and over.....

My primary business is landscaping so I dont have the setup some guys on here do, but I would like to get a used bucket/chip truck and a nice 12'' chipper in the future as I get more tree work.

For now my setup includes a dump trailer towed by one of my chevy pickups, 4 stihl saws and 1 echo, and all the ropes, pole saws, etc. I rent a tow behind lift if needed.
