Default Savannah Holy Root Spread??

im new to tree site. Im a veteran on Lawnsite.

customer wants me to trim some savannah holly trees. they about 30ft in height and have grown out of control.

they are only about 2.5ft away from the house. the wife wants to remove them completely because of the how large they are.

with a tree this size, wht size root spread am i looking at? reason i ask is because they are worried the roots are growing under the slab of the home!

any help?
thanks in advance to the Pros!

The general rule when looking at structural roots for construction tree protection is anywhere from 1 to 1.5 times the diameter of the trunk expressed in feet is where they are. Example 20 inch maple, structural roots are out as far as 20 to 30 feet. This has a lot to do with the soil as well. If the tree was planted in a development where the soil basically sucks, the roots may not go much beyond the planting hole. I hope this is helpfull, with out confusing the situation any further.
